Bayside Real Estate, Top Mexico Broker, #1 Coastal and Urban Specialists, is proud to re-sign Regina Pioli to its Bayside Real Estate Surf Team. Coral and Max Muñoz, two incredible young sibling surfers, from Barra de la Cruz were also officially welcomed to the team. Bayside is proud to sign the three of them and to help support them in their studies and athletic growth.

This past Tuesday, August 27th was a time for celebration. At the signing event at Bayside Real Estate Sales Office in Huatulco, Regina said she’s grateful for the years of sponsorship from Bayside and that she’s happy to see the new generation of surfers join the team, Max and Coral Muñoz. Regina said the siblings are extremely motivated and she encouraged them to take advantage of every opportunity they have to better themselves and their sport!

Regina, Max and Coral join the already signed Bayside Puerto Escondido team beside Roger Ramirez, Maya Larripa, Sebastian Williams and Nesher Diaz.

Bayside CEO Brent May spoke at the signing ceremony and explained why he and his wife, Erin feel it is so important to give back to nurture young talent through sport. Brent talked about the transformative power of sport and surfing and also contributing to the broader community by providing positive role models for aspiring youth.

The Bayside Surfer Girl, Regina Pioli, says being a female surfer is challenging. She says she thinks a lot of people thought surfing was a men’s-only sport. When she started surfing, very few girls were surfing. She says things have certainly changed and she says women are proving that they’re surfing as well as men.

Regina sums up her positive attitude by sharing, “You have to work hard, really want it and believe in yourself. Whatever you want in life, you have go out there and try. You’re never going to know what you’re capable of if you don’t put yourself out there!”
Regina encourages young people to try surfing. She’s happy to welcome Max and Coral Muñoz Ricardez to the team with her.

Max, 12, and Coral, 15, live in Barra de la Cruz. For 9 years, both have already been participating and placing in local tournaments and national competitions like CONADE (Mexico’s National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport) in Nayarit and Baja California. This year they’ll likely be competing in Baja and Cozumel competitions, high-level competitions with surfers from all around. They will be training with a coach this year to learn different techniques. Coral will participate in an all-female competition in Baja California Sur. And they will work on participating in a tour around Central America and perhaps the following year, they hope to travel to Brazil and the United States to compete.

Victor Muñoz, Max and Coral’s father, introduced his children to surfing at around age 3, setting them on boards himself before they began riding waves by themselves around 6 years old. The Muñoz family tries to live a sustainable lifestyle that balances their passion for surfing with other pursuits and responsibilities. They grow papayas, raise chickens and maintain a healthy diet. Max loves to fish, while Coral expresses her creativity through painting. Balancing surfing with education, Max and Coral attend a school that not only provides a solid academic foundation but also nurtures their entrepreneurial spirit. Victor says they have enough time for surfing, training, and family activities.

Welcome to the team, Max, Coral, and Regina! We’re fired up to see what amazing things you all will achieve this year!
